During Autumn, if you are an enthusiast about fall foliage colors, going to gaze at the trees in any of the Cleveland Metroparks reservations is a must-do! Even if you don't particularly seek places for leaf colors, if you're here you might as well, too. Early in Autumn you'll see a spectacular multitude of colors and have access to many scenic overlooks. http://www.clemetparks.com/ Leave a Comment

by erikatheskysailor Yeah... our river caught on fire once. Or so you think: the Cuyahoga river didn't actually burn, people... the oil and garbage covering the surface did. This happened on 22 June 1969. We oft receive mockery by outsiders who are just looking for a reason to tease because they don't like Cleveland, but the river has been greatly improved, and Cleveland is up and coming 'green' city. The river itself still need progress, as do most mjaor Great Lakes area rivers. No one's proud that the conditions on the river were allowed to become so awful, but we are proud of our 'Crooked river' and the role it's played, and continues to, in northeast Ohio and Cleveland. We've preserved it's heritage and are always making the river cleaner. Come see for yourself. ;) So, now you have the facts straight. ;) Leave a Comment

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by GUYON Visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - 1 Key Plaza - Cleveland - (800) 493.ROLL - 10:00AM to 5:30PM except on Wednesday 10:00AM to 9:00PM - Price : 15$ + 5$ parking. It is forbiden to take photograph and video.
A great museum with plenty of photographs, relics, stage costumes, scores. You can watch ancient TV report or listen to Rock & Roll songs. The Rock & Roll music seems only a US phenomenom. Fortunatly, the museum knows the Beatles and dedicates an exibit about John Lennon. Do not search other European singers, French especially : they are not here. Leave a Comment

C-Tix is a web-based discount ticketing service, and I've been impressed by the deals in the e-mailed newsletter. So, I think it's worth it to investigate what they have to offer. http://www.ctix.org/ Leave a Comment

Cleveland Map by GUYON Visit the city by car. It is easy to drive : the streets are perpendicular. But there are not free parkings in the center.
We were on Lakeside Avenue. It is a rather a desert area during the week end because it is a business district. The restaurants are closed. The Galleria (mall) opens late. And it is certainly not the best place to see the Erie Lake. CLICK TO ENLARGE. Leave a Comment

Go see the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame. Although I never actually have seen it, I went to the original induction concert and have been by it numerous times. It is just one of those things you need to do. Leave a Comment

by mjmarble Go hear the Cleveland Orchestra. Consistantly ranked one of the world's finest, it was a treat to grow up listening to them. I've been a bit spoiled. This is a picture of Severance Hall, home to the Orchestra. Leave a Comment
