Situated on a corner in an old Slovenian neighborhood, Sterle's brings back the heritage to this neighboorhood. It is a big beer hall style restuarant and it looks as though they have live music on weekends (polka mostly).
Note in the picture, the man standing with my mother lived in 6307 Carl after my Grandmother moved out to start a family (see off the beaten path).
Favorite Dish: Roast Pork was good, the Slovenian Sausage was good, my neice (age 4) liked the spaghetti, my nephew (age 6) liked the veal (I did, too), and my brother liked the weinerschnitzel. I guess everyone liked their food...we had a great time.
It is a good place for large parties and for kids. It is not a romantic spot, but a fun spot.
Prices are reasonable for good ethnic food, about $10 to $12 for an entree. They served pitchers of beer for $7.50, and had one Slovenian wine on the list (okay).
