Located in Little Italy . . . Really nice place to sit during lunch and read a book and eat . . . Nice tables at the front where you can watch the people go by . . . When I was there in '88, they had live opera one night a week
Favorite Dish:
Pizza with pesto
Perhaps I am still spoiled from our trip to Italy, but I was not overly impressed by La Dolce Vita in Cleveland's Little Italy area. The ambiance is great - located on a corner with glass walls, Italian films playing silently on a wall, nice decor and the service was excellent; however, I found the food to be mediocre. Only a couple months ago I had the best pizzas of my life in Rome (I averaged about 1 pizza a day while there). I guess nothing else will compare as the pizza at La Dolce Vita was just OK. My wife had a good chicken and pasta dish.
The dinner was rather expensive ($70 before tip), my wife had a single glass of wine, we had 1 appetizer, and my pizza was tiny, even though I ordered a large.
Favorite Dish:
Having only ate there once, we do not have a favorite dish.
