Small, casual restaurant in Little Italy. Perfect for the family....not very romantic. Hearty helpings of homemade pasta from their Sicilian based menu or the best pizza around!! Very inexpensive.
Favorite Dish: Pizza.....lots of toppings. Crust is crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle!!
This is the place where your parents take you because they went here on their first date. It's casual, fair priced, and probably looks exactly the same as when your parents ate there. Believe it or not people drive far to eat at this simple family joint. It's mainly for the pizza. I am not sure what they put in that pizza, but it keeps us coming back. They also have a full list of traditional dishes and wines. This is a great restaurant to go with a family, especially if you just got out from one of the University Circle museums. Parking can be a little crazy on the street, so if you don't mind paying, go down Random Street. (yes i am serious, its called Random), and there is a pay lot.
Favorite Dish: Gimme another slice of that pizza!
There were rave reviews on the internet, our B&B host recommended Mama Santa's, and they had loads of "Best Pizza" award placques on the wall. . . but our pizza was terrible. It was a Saturday night. We waited forever for our pizza to come. We had asked for olives on half the pizza. It looked like they took a full pizza's worth of olives and loaded them onto half the pie. The pizza wasn't hot. Mama Santa's is not a pretty place, and the restroom was dirty. The only good thing I can say is it was cheap and the neighborhood was slightly interesting.
True Italian pizza from a Italian kitchen. I suggest a bottle of Chianti to go with it.
Favorite Dish: Pizza! The best pizza place in Cleveland!
