 | Columbus Nightlife | Tips 1 - 10 of 32 | | For a wonderful night out in Columbus, Ohio, try the landmark Ohio Theatre. Some of the world's best artists come to the Ohio Theatre, Ohio's busiest performing arts facility. They come here because of the theatre's lush interior, opulent Spanish-Baroque architecture, excellent acoustics, and state-of-the-art stage facilities . Such people as Carole King, Julie Andrews, Kenny G., Liza Minnelli, Boston Pops, Garrison Keilor, Lyle Lovett, Itzhak Perlman, and Dan Fogelberg have performed here. The theatre has a 21 foot high chandelier that is breathtaking. It's location right downtown near the Statehouse is another positive. Scottish-born architect, Thomas W. Lamb designed this theatre with a vision of "a palace for the average man." It opened in 1928 as a Loew's movie house with 2,779 seats, its own orchestra and theatre organ! Besides movies, live stage shows toured here. Such performers as Milton Berle, Cab Calloway, Jean Harlow, Ginger Rogers, and Jack Benny performed here. It thrived as a Movie House until the 1960s, and like many other grand theatres, the Ohio was headed to demolition! In 1969, ordinary citizens mounted a "Save the Ohio" campaign, and they raised over 2 million dollars in less than a year. They purchased and renovated the Ohio Theatre thus creating a home of Columbus' performing arts institutions. Now, its the home to The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, BalletMet, and The Broadway Series plus more than 100(CAPA) Columbus Association for the Performing Arts events yearly. That is why this theatre is often called, the "Official Theatre for the State of Ohio"
I would advise you to dress up (not formal) to come here. I would never wear jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, or a baseball hat! Leave a Comment Theme: TheaterAddress: 55 East State Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215-4264

This place is happening any night of the week. The Early 20's to mid 40's crowd is always a fun group to be around. Happy hour till 7 cheap buckets of beer cheap drinks cheap food. The crowd here is great. Lots of hot people around to look at if that is your thing or just sit and chat with your friends. IF you come alone you wont be that way for long this crowd is very friendly..... Boneless wings are great, sandwiches are good. I couldnt believe this place had food. Then it was good food. I had been like 5 or 6 times before I realized they had food. They have a wonderful patio. This is the place to be early. The juke box is great. Tons of choices always playing good 80's 90's 00 tunes. Fun fun if your on the North Side...

This place is in Westerville. ITs just north of Columbus. Tell the bartender Steve that Jennifer sent you. I love this little pub. There is always a nice upscale clientel there and everyone is fun to talk to. I like going there because the service is excellent. Happy hour from 4-6 with half price drinks and appetizers. You must try the chips they are to die for. I get them every time I go there. The food is excellent and is always fresh and tasty. The drinks are cold. After happy hour this place is a bit pricey but its always worth it to come here for the atmosphere. They even have a patio bar and occassionaly some live music. There are plenty of TVs in the bar for the sports people. I give this place a high reccommendation....
What ever you want.

This place has cheap drinks. Really Cheap and it really isnt a bad place to kill some time before an activity on the North Side. Not the best area of town but not to bad. This place has karoke on Friday and Saturday nights. IT has a pool table, several dart boards, big screen tv's and a really fun staff. If your looking to karoke this is a good place to go. The juke box has a great selection even the latest songs are available on it.

In addition to having a great name, this bar is a modern piano bar!! There were two pianos set up and a small drum kit, with three awfully talented fellas playing requests and old favourites all night long! There was never a break in the music, as they took turns taking breaks while the other two carried on! The crowd was a mixture of young adults, middle-aged adults, and even older adults, all rocking out to the amazing performance on stage!

The Ocean Club is a small, cozy restaurant at the Easton Town Centre. Designed with a South Beach/Art Deco theme, the Club has great seafood and entertainment, but it also boasts wonderful views of Easton. If you can get a window seat, you can hang-out at the Ocean Club for quite some time, nibbling at appetizers and sipping drinks while watching the shopping masses congregate below.
Casual, although a pair of khakis and nice shirt would suffice for a weekend night. Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and DrinkingDirections: Easton Town Centre

The management here are REALLY relaxed about certain crowd activities. It seems like as you're not causing trouble, they want you to have the best time possible.
