If you are looking for excellent "down home cooking" then Bob Evans is the place to go. The food is delicious, service is excellent and you get a good meal for the value.

The Country Biscuit Breakfast (a biscuit split and topped with an egg over-easy, sausage, country gravy and American cheese) served with fresh home fries and a nice cup of coffee is a great way to start the day.

Buca Di Beppo: It's a family affair

    Enjoying the atmosphere

Everything at this Italian chain is larger-than-life. Buca Di Beppo (a.k.a. Joe's Basement) features a subterranean network of cozy dining rooms loudly decorated in Italian kitsch. Just like getting together with the family, Buca succeeds in recreating the boisterous atmosphere of the typical Italian family dinner (they also take you on a tour of the kitchen before seating you).

Well as you can see from this picture, my brother Steven (on the left) is trying to get me to hold Jalen so that he can eat his meal. I say No Way Jose!!! But really folks this is a pretty good Italian restaurant. Try the Tortelloni with meat, broccoli, peas, tomatoes and mushrooms in a cream sauce (yummy). Also try the 9 Layer Lasagna (OMG...it's huge). The Garlic Bread is delicious and the Tiramisu is divine. Overall, a very nice italian restaurant with huge portions, I guarantee you will go home with a doggie bag (woof, woof...lol).

Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck: Great place for wings, beer and games

    NY-style wing joint

This is the place in Columbus to get the best wings. From mild to what they call 'blazin hot' you get your chicken's worth here. Bring an appetite and drink lots of cold ones (beer, soda, water, etc.) to wash those wings down.

So what is Buffalo Wild Wings? It's a place where you get great food at a decent price, where you can pull tables together, hang with your friends and watch the game on TV or play National Trivia Network (NTN) games at your table.

Chicken Wings of course - get an order of 12 Wings and top it off with Teriyaki (easy on the palate) or Caribbean Jerk (spicy) along with an order of potato wedges with cheese or pepperoni pockets.

Looking for a nice place to eat on a visit to Columbus, my friends decided on this place, and it was a dining experience!!! This is not your typical mom and pop diner...it's a first class experience without all the glitter.

For an appetizer, we tried the Homemade Potato Chips covered in melted bleu cheese, alfredo sauce and green onions. For dinner, I decided to get The Chef's Special (flank steak, with buttermilk and chive mashed potatoes, fresh green beans and sweet cherry tomatoes), but you may also want to try the Romano Crusted Chicken (with roasted tomato cream sauce and angel hair pasta) or the Slow Roasted Pork Chop (with apple-raisin chutney, buttermilk-chive mashed potatoes and skillet beans).

Nice down home restaurant which serves up great food (you can tell that from the line of people waiting to get in).

Try the Bacon (or Sausage) with Hashbrown Casserole (a full order of thick sliced bacon or smoked sausage Patties served with hashbrowns).

If you are looking for a place which has a warm wood interior and hunting lodge feel, then this is the place for you. Pizza, burgers and beer are the signature features here and you'll will find many softball teams stopping by after the game to relax.

The pizza is tasty, with a thick, chewy crust and lots of toppings. You can also order American favorites like french fries, burgers, potato skins and poppers.

Hoggy's is a local chain of barbecue joints where you can smell BBQ a mile away. Everything is smoked (including the prime rib and baked potatoes), the ribs and pulled pork sandwiches are awesome, and the sides are all homemade, fresh and delicious.

If you are looking for large portions of food (ribs, chicken, pork, sandwiches and desserts), then this is the place to go.

A chain of restaurants around the country that serves authentic chinese food. I've been to the restaurants in Manhattan Beach and San Diego, CA as well as the restaurant in Columbus, OH. The atmoshpere is casual, although you can take that special someone to this place and find a nice little nook to cuddle. By the way, if you visit the restaurant in Columbus, ask for Jeanne. She's a great waitress (very knowledgeable and energetic)!!!

Everything is excellent...I've had the Mongolian Beef dish, Pan Fried Noodles (combo) and the Chang's Spicy Chicken. Lot's of food for not a lot of money. Also try the Lettuce Spicy Chicken Wrap (under Appetizers)...um, um, good!!

  • Lemongrass atmosphere is very trendy. The restaurant itself looks like a piece of modern art. Yet you still have the feeling of being comfortable.
The prices aren't the lowest(average cost of a meal is about $18.00 USD); but the food and service and experience is worth it!

I was really enjoyed the Pad Thai noodles in lime sauce. The meal was great...not too heavy. If you're in the Columbus area, I highly recommend it.
