Picking one favorite restaurant is just not feasible... For German quisine, obviously head to German Village and do not miss Schmidt's Sausage Haus. The decor is bit overdone for the tourists, but the food is outstanding. While you're in German Village, grab some Irish fare at Clannadaugh and drink a Guiness for me. For Indian/Pakistani, believe it or not, try the Taj Mahal. Just north of the OSU campus, traffic and parking are a nightmare, but the food is worth the effort. Don't be thrown off by the looks of the place from the outside, and go at lunch for the incredible buffet. Italian food will take you to the Tuttle area, to Macaroni's Grill. Try somehow to leave room for dessert. However, for straight American food, Chef Michael is working his magic at Braddock's Grandview, the finest quisine I've found anywhere. Dress/price are both upscale, with valet parking and a nice patio for those rare times when Ohio lets you dine outside. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

The Spaghetti Warehouse for a nice family meal with an atmosphere that children will love. Charlies Steakery is good for a quick & good lunch. They serve Steak or Chicken subs which are grilled to order & taste fresh. Tim Hortons has good coffee & patries for breakfast. There are soooo many good restaurants in Columbus! Quite honestly I think Columbus has one of the largest number of restaurants per capita, if that makes sense, of any city. While it's not a huge city, there are TONS of GOOD restaurants with many and varied types of cuisine. Just to name a few that I like: Schmidt's Sausage Haus in German Village, Skyline Chili, Barcelona, Tapatio, Donato's Pizza, Panda Inn, Mac's in the Short North, Chipotle Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Bonefish Grill is a casual seafood restaurant takes the mystery out of fish (e.g., they tell their guests where the fish came from, how best to eat it, and how to experiment with the fun sauces they created to go with the fish). The fish is flown in fresh every morning, inspected for quality and then cut and weighed by hand. You have a variety of eight or more fresh fish to choose from per day, as well as a number sauces and toppings to choose from.
For the appetizer, we ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp (tender, crispy shrimp tossed in a creamy spicy sauce on a bed of greens). Also included in the meal was my choice of a Ceasers Salad. For the entree, I had Grilled Jumbo Shrimp & Scallops (seasoned shrimp and scallops cooked pan asian style over a wood burning grill with spinach, carrots, yellow squash, zucchini and onions). This place is like it is trying to recreate an Italian place. However after having been to Italy its more of an Amercianized Italian Place. The place is huge. Literally it goes back forever. All kinds of cool Italian decor and they even have a table in the kitchen. The food is all served family style for sharing and the portions are the largest I have ever seen in my life. The food is really really good. THe place is packed on weekends. SO if your looking for romantic this isnt it. THere are tons of birthdays and bachelorette parties happening in here on any given night of the week. I would suggest going late afternoon or late evening on a week night. THe bar service is really slow here so if you drink quick order two drinks at once. The peach bellini was really delicious. SO make a reservation if you dont want to wait for hours and hours....
Husband loves the lasagna. I love the garlic mashed potatoes and veggies as I dont like cheese. The garlic bread is served with real chunks of garlic on it I wasnt prepared for that... Right across from Nationwide arena if you can find the arena you can find the place. Be prepared to pay to park and try not to go on the night of a hockey game or parking will be pricey...Website: http://www.bucadibeppo.com/

Though I only spent what amounted to a long weekend in Columbus it was long enough to see what cult like status Ohio State football has in the state. Therefore I was excited to go to dinner at the Buckeye Cafe near the Ohio State campus, the restaurant which I do not beleive is associated with the school itself was a really cool place housing what amounted to a small museum of items related to Ohio State and its many faumous athletets. In the main dining room large paintings of Ohio State's Heisman trophy winners hung on the wall (i.e. Eddie George, Archie Griffith etc.) and one of Archie Griffith's Heisman trophies (he won two) were displayed in the room. Also were hundreds of items from other faumous Ohio state alums in various sports (Jack Nickalaus, Shawn Springs, Terry Glenn, Jim Jackson etc.). Add to this video games for which you can play on while waiting for a table or after you meal and you can see this place is a must for anyone who considers themselves a huge sports fan. All in all the food was good and the video games made for a fun place I would recommend to someone in town for a short while looking for a dinner spot. Leave a Comment
