Asked the personnel at the front desk (Columbus Airport Marriott) for a breakfast recommendation and they said we should go to Café Creekside. Headed out the door and five minutes later we were at the restaurant. There isn't any parking out front, but there is in the back (enter at the Wendy's sign). Nice location next to a creek and during the summer months, it's probably a nice place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Once you walk in, have a seat and order...many breakfast options (as well as lunch & dinner options) and there's also a Sunday brunch.
Favorite Dish: We started off with coffee and complimentary pumpkin muffins. For breakfast, LJ had Eggs Benedict with potatoes on the side, while I had the Breakfast Sandwich (two eggs, Swiss cheese, sausage patties on Texas toast) with potatoes on the side. Prepared very well and service was quick. All in all, a great find, friendly customer service and I place that I would recommend.

At Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, you can always feel comfortable pulling some tables together with your friends and staying as long as you like to play trivia on the NTN system or watching your favorite games on one of the many big-screen TVs (it's a fun, edgy, high-energy and easygoing restaurant). The food is excellent and if you like the sauces, you can bring a few bottles home with you (e.g., Caribbean Jerk, Hot BBQ, Hot, Teriyaki, Smoky Southwestern and Wild...these are the flavors that I've tried).
Favorite Dish: Order 12 Chicken Wings (deep fried and coated with spicy garlic sauce) with ranch dressing and celery sticks on the side or the Caribbean Jerk Buffalitos (2 soft flour tortillas filled with chicken, Caribbean Jerk sauce, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomato, onion and topped with pineapple and served with blue corn chips) or the Pepperoni Pockets (2 pockets packed with mozzarella and provolone cheese blended with pepperoni and basil pizza sauce, then deep-fried to a golden brown). You can wash it down with soda or a nice cold Samuel Adams brew.

I visited the few blocks of bustling Grandview Heights and decided to find a place for a drink. This was the most glamorous restaurant of the entire trip. Perfect for dating couples, married couples and soon-to-be-separated couples! Everyone looks good in a place like this courtesy of the noirish lighting. Wines were delicious.
Favorite Dish: The wine selection.

So good that I went back a second time (and the waitress even remembered me) even though I sat close to the grill on a 90 degree day. A gem of a neighborhood place that does the simple things very well. Especially loved the omelettes. This is the only place I've seen where they squish the usual sides (like potatoes) on top of the omelettes themselves, upon request. Really great!

A happy accident that I wandered into this place. Completely unremarkable from the mirrored glass outside (located in a mini strip mall) but absolutely lovely inside. The best meal of my entire week in the Columbus area. Great accommodating service and very fresh food. Bravo and encore!
Favorite Dish: Mozzarella and tomatoes appetizer.

A real German Village neighborhood spot that is still popular with locals. Very busy with the after-work crowd, especially.Stick to the basics and make sure to drink at the horseshoe bar.
Favorite Dish: I had the taco salad although they appear to be famous for their turtle soup.

A great place for breakfast, lunch or brunch. A really old-school place with atmosphere and honest cooking. Very friendly and competent service. They have a very orderly way of controlling the crowds by making people sign up on a sheet when you enter the place to the left.
Favorite Dish: Any egg dish.

A little primer: you review a menu while you wait in line, order and are given a number. You then sit anywhere that's open- there is a mixture of tables, booth, upright chairs and even a living room area. The food and its server will somehow find you and deliver your meal. Excellent, organically fresh food (I went for Sunday Brunch). This is a concept that would never work in NYC since one cannot re-order any thing without going back in the usually long line! I'm still not sure if you're meant to tip at the front end or back end of the meal? Great selection of complimentary magazines to read in a very appealing atmosphere.
Favorite Dish: Pancakes with bananas.

An OSU neighborhood institution. The atmosphere looks as if a Beefsteak Charlie's was mutated with a Big 10 college dive bar circa 1970. This place is very efficient and super reasonable. Someone in the kitchen must really know food for them to successfully make an "Irish Eggroll"- a very tasty mix of egg roll and sauerkraut. Long live the 'Dube'!!
Favorite Dish: Irish egg roll. the taste of egg roll and the flavor of sauerkraut- awesome!

The darkest possible place I could fine on the brightest possible Summer day. Definitely a Man vs. Food kind of menu with their deservedly renowned, multi-stacked burgers. Didn't have it in me to attempt the legendary 'Thurmanator' but survived a lesser culinary challenge with the 'Thurman" burger, any way.
Favorite Dish: Any burger.
