COSI. Hyped by the city fathers as one of Columbus's 'premier destinations', the Center of Science and Industry, A.K.A. COSI in its current incarnation is not much more than an overpriced video arcade masquerading as a science museum. Possbily the shallowest science museum I know of- kind of like Nickleodean TV on steriods. The former location had a kind of old time, funky charm and some real science exhibits. And is it ever pricey! Including lunch, a family of 4 can expect to shell out more than $100 for a day here. Suitable mainly for pre-teens. Adults will find the IMAX movie theater and planetarium worthwhile. Happily these elements are priced separately. This bottom line is, anyone has never in their life been to another science museum might find it interesting. As soon as one goes to, say, the vastly superior Great Lakes Science Museum in Cleveland, all illusions that COSI a 'world class' science center will be shattered. Leave a Comment

COSI, or the Centre of Science and Industry. COSI recently built a new complex on the Scioto River, and with it they brought insane prices. Not only is the building hard to navigate, there is an admission charge for most exhibits, and it's about $48 for a family of four. It's often overcrowded, and COSI also lacks friendly staff to help people lost in the craziness that is COSI. Leave a Comment

A big waste of time is the Santa Maria on the downtown riverfront. If you must see it, you must. But all you have to do is walk by it to see how small it is. Otherwise, it's really boring.

Olentangy Indian Caverns by Jim_Eliason The caverns consist of 4-5 chambers about 75 feet underground. Only one has a few formations of any kind. On top of this is built a fifties style tourist trap. For 8 dollars you get a 30-45 minute tour of the cave. Leave a Comment
