South of Dayton is a beautiful green space, part of the Five Rivers Metropark system, known as the Cox Arboretum. The Cox family donated the land to establish this park in 1962. With a variety of plants, a pond, and over three miles of hiking trails, this is a refreshing change from the city.

This is Dayton's local Botanical garden. Besides the garden displays there are some nice hiking trails in the park.
