We had been searching for many miles for a Jiffy Lube to get an oil change on our trip. No Jiffy Lubes to be found on our route. But we found this "Oilers" franchise in Findlay one evening after they had closed. So we were staying in town that night anyway, and figured we would get the oil change the next morning. We drove up to the building (pictured) to see what the hours were. No hours were posted!
We figured that any oil change plce would be open at 7 am, maybe 8 at the latest. The next morning we drove up to Oilers at 8:12 am, and it was closed! The manager was just getting out of his car so we asked him and he said they opened at 9! We could not just wait around for an hour so drove on down the road. (eventually we had the oil changed at a WalMart.)
However the manager was nice and it looked like a real nice business.
I-75 is the easiest access from the North and South. This will place you on the western edge of town where most (not all) fast food and hotels are located.
SR 12, 23, 68 and 224 also provide access from the east and west. Please check a map as all of these come in at various angles.
The best way to get around town is to stick to the main drags.
~Main street is the primary street north to south.
~Trenton Ave, SR 12 (West Main Cross) and Tiffin Ave are the primary east west roads.
~Blanchard has no shopping to speak of, but is a handy connector.
Take a minute to see these on a map. They will take you almost anywhere in Findlay you want to go as they run throughout the whole town.
The streets are not that bi here. I would definately say use a car.
