Loudonville is the canoeing center of northern Ohio. It is also the commecial center of the surrounding area. Mansfield has become the shopping area, thus Loudonville has become a mix of shops serving local needs and the canoers, meaning - - - -

Food, drink, fun, gifts, Amish furniture, handicrafts, fudge, native american crafts, and hardware. Eclectic would be the name.

The forest floor in fall.

Mohican is a small park of about 4,000 acres, with several miles of hiking trails, two small water falls (Big Lyons and Litte Lyons), camping and a nearby reservoir.

Raby Hardware

Its age is what distinguishes it. Started in 1885, it is one of the oldest hardware stores in the state. Maybe the oldest.

What to buy: Typical hardware store items

What to pay: fair prices
