Beautiful views of Lake Erie. The park features swimming and sunbathing. Most of the beach does not have lifeguards so watch your kids. There are bathrooms with changing areas and they do try to keep them clean. Several pavilions on site along with picnic tables and grills. Locals like to gather at the park to see the sunsets. Some are grand. There is an alphalt walkway that is way back from the beach that locals like to use. A hidden path leads to a breakwall where you can walk out to the old lighthouse outside of Fairport Harbor.

If coming from I-90 you will merge with westbound Rt. 2 for 1/10 of a mile, then exit Rt, 2 to get back to 44 North. Watch the area north of Lake Shore, Rt 283. That's Grand River, and they strictly enforce the 50 MPH speed limit and you don't want to ruin a great trip with a speeding ticket.
