lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

by islandtaryn

The word "nightlife" in this area of the country carries a totally different meaning. Here it means large woodfires, cooking hotdogs and marshmallows on sticks, absorbing the night sounds from the surrounding forest and sharing in what feels to sometimes be dying art forms.........conversation and story telling.

We love to sit and watch the sunsets at the fireplace and watch the sun go down from out in the sailboats. Sometimes its chilly and we stay in the Party House and tell storys of the latest travels. Casual & swim suits.

Gates Mill Grill: Gates Mill Grill

by Thalor

Romantic dark candle lit interior, elegant settings, clear smooth live jazz music making you feel you walked right into the 1960s, delicious Italian food and a full bar. Suits are not required but I would dress nicely to go to a place like this, wouldn't you?

by Ruthy2001

I was only sixteen when I went there so my experience of the nightlife was very limited - especially considering the fact that my cousin was only fourteen. As a young Scottish girl I was suprised by how difficult it was to get anywhere - there was no chance of getting anywhere without a car so we often got offloaded down the nearest 'strip' where there were just a couple of shops so that we could all 'hang out' together! We also hung around a cinema but didn't actually go in to see anything - it was all very strange but a completely new experience for me! about as casual and baggy as you could imagine!!

Cleveland's 'Flats' area has it all.Comedy Clubs,Sports Bars, many Beautiful restaurants and itsbasically the 'Rush Street' of Cleveland. In the Cincinnati area, although its in the NorthernSuburbs,There are great restaurants in the SharonvilleArea easy accessible to Interstate 75 right nearby.Alsoin Northern Kentucky,The River Boats on the Ohio riverare wonderful with great views of Cincinnati's Skyline. For those of you who have been to Chicago,This isthe closest thing to Chicago's Rush street.Cleveland'sFlats is the most happening place in the city without adoubt. Each Club in the Flats seems to have a Differentdress code because each place has a differentclientele. The Comedy Clubs and restaurants in theSharonville Area of Cincinnati are very relaxed aswell as the Kentucky riverboats.

haha. this will be good. i hear there are some good places in the flats by the cuyahoga river in cleveland, but i've never been there so i won't try to recommed them. I prefer the nightlife spot known as the 'barn dance.'lots of friendly people and good times for all. most of the time these events are populated by the ahem, shall we say more 'experienced at life' crowd (old people), but you'll be sure to find a lot of young chaps as well. it's very real and authentic and what better way to express your love for someone than to sweat all over them whlie doe-si-doeing to the classic sound of the accordian. whatever. you can get all gussied up if you want. shine your boots, wear your biggest belt buckle, or just do like most people there and take a quick shower after evening chores and throw on a cleaner pair of jeans and your nicest flannel shirt.

Lounge / Loft: Game of Cards

by windoweb

My sisters & I enjoyed playing a game of cards in this loft area. The first night we were here it rained. This spot to play cards and have a drink was just right.
