Again not exactly "Must See" entertainment, but stil, it is something to do if you are in town. The historical society operates the Hoover homestead, the actual home that the Hoooover family lived in during the early days of the vaccum company.
The home features a museum that showcases the Hoover Company's start in blacksmithing, through the first vaccum cleaners, to today's models. It is very informative (in regards to the Hoover Company) but a little dry. One of the tidbits you will learn about is the first sales campaign for the Hoover vaccum was "it beats as it sweaps as it cleans." Trust me the beat it into your head. As someone who lived there, we always joked that the motto should be "Hoover Vaccum's really suck!" (see double meanings can be fun!)
The Hoover Historical Center is located right next to Hoover Park (imagine that.) The park is spacious, but not as nice as you would think. There are baseball fields, meeting places, picnic shelters and even a small playground. Nothing to get excited about there are better parks in town. But, if you are looking for a quiet spot under some trees where you can stop and reflect on your newfound knowledge of Hoover vaccum's, it shoudl not be missed.

I would not call anything in North Canton a "Must See Activity". But if you are stuck there and can't make it to the mall area or other places in Canton, these will have to do.
The Hoover Company offers tours of its plant with a bit of notice. It is on main street in the center of town, across from City Hall and the YMCA.
The tour is a very in depth look at the process of making vaccum cleaners. I did think it was interesting to see that the plastic to make them came in little pellets that get melted, but I am a nerd. Your feelings may be different. There is a lot of walking involved in the tour, so wear a pair of sneakers.

Address: Main Street
North Canton is a Dry Town. Luckily for you the Belden Village Mall area is outside the city limits and has beer aplenty! Inside North Canton you will find your occasional restaurant, but nothing like this area. This is where all the places like Applebees are.
The main streets to focus on are Everhard, Whipple and Fulton roads. There will be others, but the three mentioned converge around the mall, and that is where everything is.
The place I like the best is the Thirsty Dog Brewpub. You can find it just opposite the mall and near the Wal Mart. They have a great light beer called Airship Light.
You can see more about the area by visiting my Canton Page via the link.
Dress Code: Its going to depend on the establishment, but wearing shoes and clothing at all is a good place to start.
