orwalk is a town of about 17,000 (up 5% since 2000) located at the intersection of US Highways 20 and 250 in Northern Ohio; not far from Lake Erie. Norwalk is the county seat of Huron County. This area was heavily settled by people displaced from Connecticut during the Revolutionary War. The town of Norwalk, like many towns in the region got its name from a town in Connecticut. Huron County was named after the Huron Indians.

The Huron County Courthouse and Jail is very nice and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, along with several other buildings in Norwalk.
