Point Pleasant Travel Guide

Ulysses S. Grant and his family were members of the Methodist Church and the Grant Memorial Church, a United Methodist congregation, stands directly behind the Grant Birthplace. However, the Grants never attended this church because it did not exist until the 1920s, long after they moved away from Point Pleasant. When the church built next to the Grant Birthplace it was named in his honor.
