What decor! Lots of wonderful ambience this place and is a real favorite of locals. It is also part of the Island House Hotel, so you have your choice to dine in elegance or to dine on appetizers like stuffed mushrooms, chicken strips, wings, nachos, potato skins and more.

We brought our Mom here because she loves these types of places. It is a store filled with all sorts of varieties of handcrafted cheeses, meats, and old fashion candies.

Unique Suggestions: Rent a cart and go see the winery and just drive around for a while. Then go to the souvenier shops, bars, souvenier shops, bars. By FOOT. DUI's still count if your in a cart.

Favorite thing: I have never heard of this, but seeing it was pretty cool. New York drops the big apple, Port Clinton drops the Big Wylie Walleye. You thinking what?! LOL, for the past 14 years, Port Clinton being the "Walleye Capital of the World," so they drop on New Year's Eve drop a 20-foot, 600-pound walleye from the sky at the stroke of Midnight. It was created by Jim Wendt of Jim's Taxidermy. This event happens every New Years on Perry Street in historical downtown Port Clinton. For more info: Wylie Walleye
