Ruthy2001's Restaurant Tip

by Ruthy2001

Grub Steak on North Main: Grub Steak on North Main

by lrhutton

I've been going to the Grub Steak for 20 yrs and the food and service is always consistently good. There's an intimate atmosphere and the service is impeccable; the only downside is they do not accept reservations; so if you go on a weekend eve, be prepared to wait; always a good sign of an excellent restaurant The steak and ribs combo; you must have the 'house dressing' on your salad; only if you love garlic.

The Der Dutchman Restaurant...

by Ky_Happy_Dad

The Der Dutchman Restaurant located next to the Carlyle Village Inn had good Amish food. It is probably the largest restaurant in the area. The restaurant also has a bakery with very good pastries and deserts. The restaurant is open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is closed on Sundays. The food is country style, with especially good pies and other deserts.

The Brown Jug has been around...

by bhodgson

The Brown Jug has been around since 1946. It has changed hands several times but the present owners have been there since 1977. It used to be a college hang out bar but now it is a restaurant which serves liquor. The food is good and resaonable and it is in a Victorian building from the 1800's which has been restored.

by bhodgson

My favorite restaurant is Buns in Delaware Ohio. It has been there forever. For many years it was owned by the Hoffman family and eventually it was sold-that was when it began to change but the new owners who have been there for a number of years have fixed the menu to reflect the early Buns and they have fixed up the bakery which is famous for its salt rising bread-I know- it sounds gross but it is delicious toasted.
