Roscoe Village

by Jim_Eliason

Another qute dissappointing sight in Ohio. It consists of 2-3 blocks of 19th century buildings with shops, restaurants and a few historic displays. if you want to go into the historic buildings the charges is $9.95. However when I was there ( Saturday afternoon) about half of these where closed. Why is it that everywhere with a few historic buildings feel they have a right to open shop and over charge for cracker barrel crafts? If you are into this kind of thing there are much better and more authentic places to go.

African Safari Wildlife Park- Port Clinton

by Jim_Eliason

This place is just so wrong on many levels. It is just basically an open pen you drive through and feed wildlife from a cup of food they give you. Its mostly just deer and antelope form around the world. However their Africa includes Buffalo and Moose. The setting is anything but natural, the animals just mob your car looking for food.

Kings Island is the Midwest's largest theme park with over 300 rides and attractions plus a 30-acre water park, Water Works, that is free with park admission. World record thrills, including 12 roller coasters, tie the Guinness World Record for the most coasters at any park on Earth. the problem is , it is so packed with screaming children that it makes the day unbearable and I came away with a appaling headache :-(. So a great day, but not during the holidays or at weekends.

The Cincinnatti Zoo, this place is so small that you could walk all the way through it in an hour. And most of the animals and exhibits are off limits.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame. It is dingy and smaller than it looks on TV. I was really disappointed.
