    The M-K-T Railroad Bridge

    The M-K-T Railroad Bridge crosses the Red River from Texas to Oklahoma. The line reach the Texas/Oklahoma border in November 1872 and was the first to reach Texas from the north. It was important in linking the South-west and bringing industry and business to the towns along its route.

    The Red River

    The Red River is a natural tributary of the Mississippi River. It is one of the longest rivers of the U.S. Flowing from the Texas panhandle, along the Texas/Oklahoma border and into Louisiana and finally joins the Atchafalaya. The colour is attributed to the red clays of the river.
