Along Interstate 35 exit 174, north of Oklahoma City is The Cowboy Travel Plaza. The restaurant is tucked in the back of the gas station. It has an entrance from the gas station side, as well as, a separate entrance that leads into the main restaurant.

We always stop here on our way through. It's close to the interstate with lots of parking. If you go in through the front entrance, you may think twice about eating here since it looks like a typical truck stop (which it is), but the restaurant is large, clean, and separated from the truck stop portion of the building.

Favorite Dish: They have a TO GO counter and that is how we ordered the food. Friendly counter help and only about a 3 minute wait for a hot pulled pork sandwich that tasted excellent. The BBQ sauce wasn't overpowering so you could still taste the excellent flavor of the pork and the meat was tender.

I 've eaten the brisket sandwich and full rack of ribs... huge ribs!
