This is the best authinic Mexican resturant near Tulsa. Their food is good and cheap. They also offer quick service. Hope you enjoy your meal.
Favorite Dish: I really like their food all of it and their salsa is very good.

The Wild Fork combines casual elegance, fine art originals, and a dollop of decorating humor with talented, imaginative chefs to create a pleasant dining space and an excellent dining experience. Particularly unique is that the WIld Fork manages to please not only for lunch and dinner, but offers up extraordinary fare for breakfast as well (which also gives you a great opportunity to visit without the larger price tag of dining later). Why not start the day with fluffy Cinnamon Pecan Pancakes or "Wild Fork Hash." Rather visit at Lunch? Maybe the Red Cornmeal Crusted Chicken or Black Bean Cassoulet will catch your eye. Prefer to enjoy a fine dinner as part of your night on the town? You could start with the Grilled Shrimp & Sweet Corn Fritters seved with sides of goat cheese, chipotle aioli and pico de gallo, and follow it with a main course of Lemon-Garlic Lamb Chops with red chili-sun dried tomato syrup. Prime grilled steaks and chops, fresh fish and seafood, pasta dishes and gorgeous salads offer variety for all tastes. The restaurant's generous cellar of boutique wines will provide the perfect accompaniment and a decadent dessert will finish your memorable meal off in grand style.

Throughout the United States there are cities where coneys -- hot dogs covered with chili and maybe cheese and onions -- are a popular dish. And there are cities where coneys aren't popular.
Tulsa is definitely a Coney Town! We have dozens of restaurants and local chains specializing in coneys.
I love 'em. I've eaten coneys at Coney Island, in three boroughs of NYC, in Cincinnati and in other cities, but I believe Tulsa's are the best.
And my favorites here are the coneys at the Coney I-Lander restaurants, of which there are about half a dozen in Tulsa.
The chili is to die for, and a tray loaded with three "loaded" coneys (chili, cheese, mustard and onions, doused with a liberal sprinkling of cayenne pepper) is like a little piece of heaven.
Favorite Dish: The chili-covered tamales are good. So is just a straight bowl of chili. But the coneys are what it's all about.
Yumm! I believe I'll go get some now.

When I moved to Tulsa, mediocre Tex-Mex food was what passed for Mexican restaurant fare here, but in the past 15 years, there has been a huge influx of Mexicans and other Latin Americans to Tulsa. One thing the influx of Hispanics has brought with it is great food. The best new places aren't the trendy, upscale restaurants, but the smaller, out-of-the-way eateries. My favorite is El Rio Verde, in the 100 block of North Trenton Ave., just north of I-244 and Utica Blvd. Mares, tacos, burritos... they're all good. On weekends you can get Menudo and Posole, too.
Favorite Dish: The Mexican tacos (as opposed to the Gringo tacos; you can order either) are my favorites. And the giant wet burritos. You can pick whatever kind of meat -- from cheek meat, goat meat, grilled pork, chorizo, beef, chicken, and more).
The salsa is delicious with a hint of cloves and a medium dose of chile. Muy sabroso!

Simple decor and a friendly staff, along with good prices and fantastic fresh seafood make this a "must try" restaurant for anyone new to Tulsa, or residents who have not yet tried it.
Favorite Dish: Gumbo by the quart, to go. As good as what it served to you at your table, and half the price when you order it from the fish counter "to go".

Every Sunday we'd drive here and have a 'buffet breakfast/lunch'.The "T" bones steaks were huge, and so very tasty,as we were in the middle of mad cows disease in UK at the time we hadn't had a "T" bone for quite a while.
The eat as much as you can culture seems to be very big over there, with many people just eating for the sake of it.
Come about 1pm and all of a sudden the places is instantly full of churchgoers, who have just finished their service.
Favorite Dish: T bone steak, bloody gorgeous, salad, ice cream and of course ....... a diet coke to cancel out all that colhesteral......

There is a HUGE Mexican restaurant that can seat like 1200 people - I think it's called Casa Lupita, next to it is a restaurant owned by the same man, it's called Crystals (a very large pizza/party place). Both restaurants serve great food and the environment is unforgettable. There are waterfalls in the Mexican restaurant along with various other notable decorations. The most vivid memory is how people sing in line while they are waiting to be served. Everyone sings together, it's alot of fun!

This place is decorated in the Italian market style, with grocery goods and bottles displayed on the walls. The cooks are readily visible working next to the brick oven. In the back, a clothesline of ladies' intimates is strung across the space from one fake balcony to another.
Favorite Dish: Ravioli and angel hair pasta with marinara/creme sauce.
