snowy in tulsa by angelayjose Let me tell you. Driving in Tulsa is scary when it snows. When the first snow flake falls, everyone freaks out and starts to put chains on their tires (which are illegal), The teenagers start speeding because they want to feel their cars slide, and the little old ladies drive in 2 lanes and go 10 mph (even though the snow has not even stuck to the road yet). Today, we had our first snow for winter. It was a whopping 0.2". Wow, thats a lot of snow. So, there were 16 wrecks within 1 hour because people dont know how to drive. Needless to say....be careful. The best way to travel to Tulsa is definitely by air. Many major airlines fly in and out of Tulsa International Airport. http://www.tulsaairports.com/<br /> Otherwise, you may also get to Tulsa from elsewhere in the U.S. by bus. http://www.greyhound.com/ The best way to get around Tulsa is definitely by car. You will most likely not find a taxi cab, you will have to call the cab company to come pick you up. Traveling by cab is expensive because everything is spread out. There is bus service around most of the city, and you will find that you can get most anywhere by bus (if you have the patience). http://www.tulsatransit.org Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

Tips for driving like a native, by a native: 1) If you are a soccer/proffesional mom and own an oversized SUV, be sure to tailgate if the person in front of you doesn't go at least 5 over the speed limit, especially in school zones. 2) Pay no attention to traffic lights, especially when turning left. When the green arrow changes to red it's just a suggestion. 3) When on hwy 169, be sure to drive slow in the fast lane, pass on the right, and never use your blinker. 4) When on hwy 244, go whatever speed you please in any lane you like, wave your gun proudly, and leave you blinker on for at least two miles after merging. 5) If you are under 5' tall, be sure to not use a booster seat when driving. You don't really need to see over the steering wheel. 6) If you are a guy and see an attractive girl/woman in the car next to you, stare openly and make suggestive hand motions. Don't worry about the other passengers in her car. 7) Use your brakes often. In fact, just ride them from intersection to intersection. 8) And finally, block an intersection or business entrance whenever possible. Too bad for the person trying to turn, your car was there first. All tips are derived from actual driving experiences. Often, repeatedly experienced. Theme: Car/Motor Home

The best way to get to Tulsa is either by motor vehicle or airplane. Once in Tulsa it is essential to have a vehicle to get around town. There are city busses, but the idea of convenient public transportation has not caught on in Tulsa and the long distances between points of interest make walking nearly impossible. There is a booth for just about every car rental company in the nation at the airport in Tulsa. It is located in the section of the airport between the two terminals. Car pick-up is on the lower level of the parking garage just across the street. Really, life in Tulsa is all about convenience! Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

Tulsa has a very convenient airport. It is not too big, so it's easy to get around. It seemed like they had a centralized security area that then led to the various gates. Of course, Tulsa does not have all the flights that a place like Dallas has. There is a really neat Billy Parker biplane in the main terminal. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane
