 | Astoria Restaurants | Tips 1 - 10 of 19 | | Stephanies's is a nice little family restaurant that serves a good variety of items from casual fare to seafood and prime rib. We went there for lunch and although they were busy we were seated quickly. Some areas of the restaurant have a nice view of the Columbia river. We were lucky enough to get one of these boothes. Patio seating is available with a nice view for when the weather is cooperating. They also specialize in NW wines and Microbrews. Hours are 6AM-10PM daily and it is a non -smoking restaurant. There is RV/Boat parking available.
I had a BLT and a side salad and was very happy with it. My friend had a Stepanie's burger and could not eat it all with the amount of fries that came with it. This was our only experience here and we will be back. This is a very plain looking building from the outside. It used to be a waterfront warehouse. There are several small shops in the same location. Once inside you are treated to some beautiful wood work and a handsome carved dragon that graces the entrance. The service is absolutely fantastic. Each course was brought at the correct time and our server was very attentive. Never had to wait for more of anything. If we needed anything it was as if the wait staff knew. This used to be a very popular restaurant and then it slowly went downnhill. But as with all old favorites I decided to give it another chance and it was definately worth it! If you go try to get there early (it opens at 4pm) otherwise reservations are suggested for a waterfront view. And oh what a view it is.
I had to splurge and get the 8 oz. steak and lobster combination. It is offered at market price which was $35.99 on the day we were there. We also enjoyed a great appetizer of warm artichoke and garlic spread with sourdough rounds. They have a nice beer and wine selection to go with whatever you decide to order. My dinner alone was about $57 with tip and worth every penny. You really should walk around the area outside as well as inside Pier 11. Turn right on 11th. I suggest parking the car and walking the short block to the old pier. The Small parking area at the pier fills fast and is rather rickety .

Welcome Astoria back to the Pier 11 Feedstore & Restaurant. Come in & enjoy a traditional hamburger, fresh seafood or the finest steak & potatoes you’ve had in a long time. We’ll satisfy your hunger while you enjoy the comfort & character of our historic building, watching the sea lions & maritime traffic right outside our windows. Pier 11 is housed in a historic building built by Astoria founding father Capt. George Flavel. Used as a depot, this is where long ago paddle wheelers unloaded their cargo. After escaping the fire of 1922 it was converted into a feed mill & store. A lot of the original structure remains intact. The charm that only history can create permeates this building. Our location over the water, at the foot of the 10th & 11th streets, gives the finest vantage point for observing marine wildlife. We often view seals & sea lions. Whales have been spotted on occasion. Maybe the birds will capture your interest; you might see a bald eagle catching its evening meal. If the maritime industry suits your fancy, you’ll be fascinated watching the river & bar pilots board the cargo vessels to guide the ships safely up the river or out to sea. The Columbia River Bar is the most dangerous bar in the world. Our tides & currents are some of the toughest on earth, which is why the United States Coast Guard chooses to train its rescue personnel in these conditions. Don’t be surprised if you see some of this country’s finest men & women practicing right in front of you! Cecil, our sea serpent, waits to greet you! A magnificent work of art and craftsmanship, Cecil was hand-carved using oak, cherry and black walnut. With no nails, only wooden pegs, he is the masterpiece of two artisan boat builders. (He is cool!! and his eyes glow red) We want to share this wonderful place & serve you a delicious meal. Please come join us!
I Love the Surf and Turf here. The meat was tender and wonderful and the batter-dipped Prawns were scrumptious. I had more food than I could eat. It was such a nice treat to eat here/ Leave a Comment

Ship's Inn Restaurant! The owners (English) had that curious English knack with food. My friend was surprised to see that she was served Halibut with a special sauce....It consisted of Orange Marmelade and Scotch Mustard...not cooked or anything mind you...just spread on the Halibut as though it were a scone or something. Our waitress was delightful though and had all kinds of suggestions for silk underwear?! The Ship's Inn is listed in travel guides of Astoria and if you ask..people will tell you that's where to eat, but I have to believe there are better places! The Columbian Cafe: My friend is a teacher at Astoria's elementary school. They filmed the movie 'Kindergarten Cop' there, so I tried to get him to do the whole 'It's not a Toooomah' line that Arnold Schwartzenegger did while portraying a teacher in the film. He then told me that this was also a town used for filming Free Willy, Short Circuit, and my favorite movie of my childhood: The Goonies. After he went to work, I went in search of some Goonie sites from that movie. I had a cup of coffee at this place and the waiters filled me in on where the Goonie house is, they even drew a map on the back of a menu to help me find it. Gives directions to The Goonie House.
One of the few cafes in Oregon where you can get a good bottomless cup of coffee for under a buck. The menu looks good, mostly fresh seafood and desserts. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: 1114 Marine Drive.Other Contact: (503) 325-2233

Cafe Uniontown. This place looks a bit plain from the outside but is really a nice little restaurant. It is situated almost under the bridge on the Columbia River. The atmosphere inside is really nice with lovely paintings and at the back there is a view of the river. The best way to get there is on the local trolly which runs along the river and stops at the restaurant.
Local produce is used to create unique dishes. I had pork tenderloin with a blackberry barbeque sauce, GF had a surf 'n turf with breaded and fried oysters. Desserts on offer that day were cranberry swirl cheesecake, raspberry cobbler and peanut butter pie. Meals came with a choice of soup (smoked salmon clam chowder) or salad and very delicious sourdough bread. Mains came with a choice of stir fried veggies, roasted red potatoes, potato cakes or saffron rice. Figure on about USD20 - 25 per person, not including wine. Cannery Cafe. We had lunch here and thought it was quite nice. I had a lamb burger with feta cheese. They also do panini. It is a nice bright place and is all non smoking. Theme: OtherDirections: On the waterfront, No 1 Sixth Street. There was a place out the back to view the river - very nice location.

After walking around the quaint town of Astoria we stopped for some coffee and a quick something to eat. We had a wonderful table outside in the warm sunshine. Although the menu had some very interesting breakfast, sandwich, and salad items, we chose a couple of their delicious pastries to go with our cappuccinos. A nice break in Astoria!
