This is a simple looking place from the outside but don't let that fool you. The owner/operator and his wife are a great team and have really got a great restaurant going here. Read thier bio on the website. The views from inside are very nice also. And you must try the dessert menu. Yumm!
They open at 4:30pm and only serve dinner. Closed on Mondays.
Favorite Dish: The Garlic bread that you get with all dinners is positively addictive. On my last visit I had the Meatball Parmigiana. Fantastic! The homemade meatballs are the best with a blend of spices and sausage. They also have many Vegan and Vegetarian dishes.
This restaurant is not much to look at. If you are looking for something fancy don't go here. This place is just plain, good affordable food! It's clean and the service is pretty good.
Favorite Dish: I recommend the breakfast burrito. They stuff a tortilla with egg, refried beans, onion (and some other stuff) and then smother it with chili and cheese. It comes with a side of salsa and sour cream and also hash browns and toast. It was very very yummy!
This little place just oozes with charm and comfort of a small town diner but has big city food. The dessert menu is huge. You have to have the homemade cheese cake. Yum!! The Halibut and chips is also awesome and the clam chowder is hard to beat. Portions are huge. This is a smoke free restaurant.
Favorite Dish: I like the Seafood salad. It is full of shrimp, crab, salmon, and tons of assorted veggies that tend to change with the season.
Enjoy steak, seafood or both while enjoying a great view from the picture windows or from the seasonal patio seating.
Favorite Dish: Seafood Pasta.Shrimp, scallops, crab, and salmon tossed with pasta in a cream sauce. Served with a slab of garlic bread. This will fill you upso you may think you need to pass up desser. Dont! Get it to go.
The food is all home made. The prices are some of the best in the area. A burger and fries start at $5.95 and go up. A Swiss Dip sandwich and fries runs $7.50. Steaks start at $8.95 and go up. Fridays and Saturdays there are great dinner specials like Prime Rib, BBQ Pork Ribs and Steamer Clam appetizers. The menu also includes fresh fish, hand battered halibut or salmon fish and chips. Hand battered chicken breasts made to order for the best chicken strips in the area. Interesting menu items such as Homemade Coney Island Hot Dog, Hand Breaded Chicken Fried Steak, Charbroiled Steaks and Burgers, piled high Club Sandwichs (six or seven different kinds). Homemade pies to pick from daily. The bread and rolls are baked on sight. Breakfast has Cinnamon Roll French Toast, Homemade Bread Pudding (also can be made into french toast). Many omelettes, Homemade Corn Beef Hash. The ambience is friendly and casual. The dining room is relaxing and looks right out onto Highway 101. The lounge is upstairs and has a nice patio with a view of the Pacific Ocean. In the lounge there is full restaurant service plus great appetizer menu and food specials Monday thru Thursday. On Monday's there is 50 cent dogs and free pool, Tuesdays is 50 cent Taco night, Wednesday's get a burger and fries for $3.50. Thursdays vary, usually meatloaf for less than $5.00. They have the widest selection of beer choices in the area. Worth checking out.
Favorite Dish: The best thing on the menu is the 10oz Ribeye and Tiger Prawns. The steak is cooked to perfection and smothered with onions and mushrooms. The prawns are giant panko encrusted and juicy. It comes with your choice of potato (I like the baked and my boyfriend likes mashed), some vegetables and soup, salad or chowder. It is also served with a homemade roll that tastes like honey. The key lime pie and the cheesecake are favorite desserts.
This is a great place to grab a bite while in Lincoln City. The menu has a little bit of everything from burgers to seafood and everything in between. While it is a bar there is also a family dinig area inside so do bring your young ones if you please. There are buckets of peanuts on every table and they are free to munch weather you are having a beer or a whole meal. Just be sure to toss the shells on the floor. Just no shell fights please.
Hot brick oven pizza is made to your specifications and extremly good. I ordered a normal cheeseburger and it was so huge that I could only eat half. They serve hand cut fries that are addicting.
I ordered the large sampler and loved it. A lot of food. Fish, salmon, shrimp, scalops, crab, oysters, and oh, the clams were awsome! Great bread & chowder.
Should have known better than to order a strawberry margarita in Oregon. They just mixed in plain strawberries so it tasted like alcohol and strawberries. We added a ton of sugar and it tasted OK. They were happy to try it again which gave me two for one. Good service.
We stopped at McMenamins in Lincoln City on the way to Seal Rock for our rental house... had 2 beers, good chowder and a salmon sandwich and a tuna melt, both of which were fresh and delicious---
all for $32.00
in a strip mall so look out for it.....
Also known as Light House Brew Pub
Favorite Dish: clam chowder
Although the dining room is beautiful at Kyllo's -- we had a table overlooking the ocean -- the food is terrible and the drinks are watered down.
The shrimp cocktail consisted of mushy, tasteless, defrosted shrimp scooped onto a plate and slathered with cocktail sauce. The clam chowder was chunky and creamy, but there was grit in the oysters.
The prawns (3) in the steak and prawn dinner were delicious, but the steak was rubbery and had absolutely no flavor. The fish in the rockfish and shrimp entrée was spongy and bland. The shrimp layered on top of the fish was the same defrosted shrimp we had earlier, this time covered with melted Velveeta. I would have to say the combination doesn’t work. The green beans that came with the entrees were cold.
You can get the same view of the ocean by pulling into the public parking lot located next to Kyllo’s and not have to pay $25 a plate for horrible food.
Favorite Dish: None.
The restaurant is not big but the most famous in town. The interior is done in city style with art prints on walls.
Saturday night was booked already by 12 afternoon. So I had to agree to have lunch there next day.
Salads were very good, as well as wine I chose. Sandwiches and pasta with a (in-house) smoked salmon was a very interesting dish.
After a very fun day at the Oregon Cosat Aquarium, we stopped here for dinner before returning back to our beach cottage in Seaside where we spent the majority of the summer. The ambiance is casual, yet very nice.
I had the Caesar Salad which was perfectly prepared and the Wild King Salmon which was moist and very flavorful. My husband had the Citrus Marinated Duck Breast that he said was also very good.
Service was efficient and we very much enjoyed our experience here.
