Lincoln City has a nice outlet mall called Tanger Outlet which we visited quite a few times. They have many clothing stores for men, woman, children. There are several shoe stores, handbag stores, leather store, stores with kitchen needs and so much more. You can easily spent a few hours here to get the deals you want. There are public washrooms, stroller rentals, a snack restaurant, info/guest services. There must be about 50 or 60 stores in total with lots of free parking.
What to buy: We usually buy shoes here as they are so much cheaper compared to Canada, even if we get them on sale it's still more expensive. The Reebok store had really good deals this year and they had a "buy 1 get 1 free" sale. I bought a pair of runners for $80 and got another pair worth $80 free, so it came to $40 a pair and in Oregon you don't pay taxes which was great as well! Famous Footware usually has some good deals too. We also bought some nice clothes for our little girl at Osh Kosh and Carter's.
These are outlet stores. You can find a ton of good buys if you look carefully enough. Old Navy has a great store in here and so does Mikasa. We always have to take a swing into Harry and Davids. MMMMMMM! Moose Munch!l Carters has a nice sized store here also if you are dressing your child or looking for a good shower gift.
What to buy: If you shop here watch for the real deals. Many "Outlet" stores have the same prices as thier mainstream counterparts on at least half of the items instore. Just be an alert shopper and seek out the true bargains.
What to pay: Depending on what you are looking for you can spend as little as $5 or as much as several hundred dollars. I generally try to keep it to a preset amount but if I am lookiing for a gift or something who knows!
This little shop is part of a series of storefronts known as Nelscott Strip. It has been in this location for around 30 years.
Not only do they feature over 25,000 diffrent ornaments from around the world but they also carry cards, giftwrap, nutcrackers, and music boxes. If the quaint exterior doesnt make you want to go inside and look around hopefully the knowledge of whats in store will.
What to buy: There are some truely wonderful Christmas Ornaments to be found inside this shop. The hand blown glass ornaments are a favorite of mine.
What to pay: any where from $2 to infinity. It all depends on what you just have to buy.
