Don't miss a beautiful sunset
Ann75 Says:
When you are in Lincoln City it's easy enough to enjoy a beautiful sunset. In the summer the sun sets around 9.00pm, so it's not too late in the evening to go out there and enjoy a sunset. When we left our place (near Vancouver, Canada) it was cloudy but dry, when nearing...
The beautiful big waves
Ann75 Says:
During our other travels along the Oregon Coast we never quite got big waves like we had in Lincoln City! I am not sure if this is typical for Lincoln City, but it sure seemed like it. The waves are quite big here and so beautiful, especially on a sunny day. They look...
Fun on the beach
Ann75 Says:
When you have beautiful and sunny weather in Lincoln City with comfortable temperatures then the beach is a great place to have fun. On several days during our weeks stay we spent time on the beach as we have a little girl that was just over 2 years old when we were there...
Walk to the nearby tide pools
Ann75 Says:
When visiting the beautiful Oregon Coast you will most likely see some tide pools during your travels. Tide pools are rocky pools located by the oceans that are filled with seawater. Many of these pools exist as separate entities only at low tide. When the tide retreats,...
Enjoy the beautiful beach at Lincoln City
Ann75 Says:
Our condo was located on the other side of the D River and D River State Park which was really great as most people were visiting the D River State Park. We loved it as the beach was quite calm with very few people around, even on warm sunny days in the summer. The views...

I ordered the large sampler and loved it. A lot of food. Fish, salmon, shrimp, scalops, crab, oysters, and oh, the clams were awsome! Great bread & chowder.Should have known better than to order a strawberry margarita in Oregon. They just mixed in plain strawberries so it...
The Blackfish Cafe: Great lunch...
aquatic Says:
The restaurant is not big but the most famous in town. The interior is done in city style with art prints on walls. Saturday night was booked already by 12 afternoon. So I had to agree to have lunch there next day. Salads were very good, as well as wine I chose. Sandwiches...
Kodiak Bar and Grill: Dancing, Drinking, Eating
Helpfulness
CrystalMJones 3 reviews
Had a blast everyone was friendly. People who go there put dollar bills on the wall so you could see if you know anyone. And on Friday and Saturday they have a DJ. Nice place. And the restaurant has a kids play area too.

Public Transit To and Around Lincoln City
Lincoln City does have limited public transit services.
From the north, it is connected 4 times per day by a bus that is operated by the Tillamook Transit district. This connects Lincoln City to all communities to the north.
From the south, Lincoln County Transit operates a bus several times a day that reaches Lincoln City from Newport, and goes north to Otis and Rose Lodge.
The Chinook Winds casino has bus service to it from a number of different locations in western Oregon. However, these buses are essentially only available to groups that stay in the casino a minimum of 4 hours.

Innocent driftwood (or is it)
Helpfulness
thecatsmeow 157 reviews
There are always driftwood piles that wash ashore during high tide. Yes sometimes they are neat to look at or collect. You just have to remember to not turn your back on the ocean unless you know the tide by heart. Every year there are people who get injured or killed because the tide came in and rolled that driftwood right on top of them. Be sure to watch your kids.

rpickering Says:

Chinook Winds Casino & Convention Center

An Indian Casino with a view that goes on and on forever! I laughed inwardly while eating in the Rogue River restaurant upstairs, seated next to a table with sweeping views of the beach and surf. I asked our server if the mouth of the Rogue River was nearby, and she said......

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: I know it is the beach but its not in Florida.
Be sure to bring a jacket no matter when you come. Sweatshirt and a change of shoes is a good idea also. I even bring my umbrella and a rain coat.
Miscellaneous: Be sure to bring a good flashlight and extra batteries if you want to look for glass floats. The best time to look is pre dawn.

Photograph People Enjoying the Beach
The beach at Lincoln City is popular, so there are many opportunities for the photgrapher to make images of people having a great time. Helps to provide scale to the ocean surf and beach. Caution: wind can drive spray, so be sure to use that lens cover and maybe a plastic baggie over the camera when not in use.
