You walk into Red Sea and go - WHAT IS THIS? Small bar and pool tables with unwelcome stares from locals. As you walk past and down a hallway you enter the dance floor and bar. Tiny, dark, hot and perfect.
Need your fix of reggae while in Portland, you can get it here.
Not a hot spot, but has a permanent draw. Always fun with a crowd wanting to get their dance on to something other than the mainstream.
Dress Code: Whatever!
This is a nice place to go if you like a lot of people, they sometimes have Marlboro nights and you can win things, there is a lot of people there and they play some good music, just watch out for the guys who have sticky hands.

If your the live music hopper on any given weekend, the Cobalt is between Berbatis' and Satyricon (to name only two). It's not my favorite place, but it has a large dance area. Live music every (?) weekend.
Dress Code: very casual.
We have a great time EVERYTIME we go out dancing here, and in all the other bars nearby. I think Saturday nights are the best night to dance all night long. See you there!
