I realize that this is a chain and that you probably have one close to you, making the Portland one not as special, but I definitely wanted to send a reminder out to you that there is always room for ice cream! This franchise is owned by the Kim family, and Jaewook was working when I went in there. She was very nice and I would highly recommend this location!
Well, there is now yogurt, sugarfree, and regular ice creams, so pick a new one and try it! Leave a Comment Theme: DessertPrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: 625 SW Broadway, Portland, OR 97204Phone: 503-222-3830

Realistically, if I were to tell you that this piece of pizza was as good as Chicago or New York City, you would probably doubt my ability to rate tips, and therefore not trust other recommendations that I put before you. Having said that, Pizzicato is probably the best slice of pie you will find in the Northwest. The spices in the sauce and the fresh basil on top really made this pizza for me. They sell by the slice, and have all kinds of salad variations for those on the healthy side of life.
I had the old traditional, Pepperoni. Delicioso! Leave a Comment

OBA! is located in the Pearl District, which used to consist of run-down warehouses, but now the properties have been converted to loftier lofts. It's Cuban fusion, meaning, nothing is really authentic Cuban soul food like mama used to make, but do not let that deter you. The food is DAMN GOOD. It's a cool interiror, nice date place, but they also cater to large parties as well. Make reservations as they fill up. My mouth is watering as I write just remembering how tender that prime rib was! It almost hurts. Good service as well. Maybe it was just the night we went, but it seemed as if all the women wait-staff had their hair up in Princess Leah (sp?) like fashion.
I had the 12 oz. Prime Rib (you can choose the 16 oz. if you so wish). Had it medium, but they have rare plus, medium plus, etc. to inidcate a state between rare and medium rare. Had no clue that even existed. Had the Langostinos for appetizers. It's served over rice and nicely spicy. Fundido was a nice dip with mushrooms and some seafood, I think. Bri had the swordfish w/ macademia crusts--oh man!!! Flavors in every bite and not just on the outside of the fish. My friends tell me that the fancy schmancy enchilada was excellent too. Desserts: Banana cake to die for. It was almost like a tiramisu, but instead of lady fingers, they used banana cake. Cheesecake was only aight. When I was in high school, I had a classmate named Ryan McTarnahan, who told me about his grandfather... it was not until 10 years later that I know how great a beer he produces! Go into the Portland Brewing company for lunch while you are in Portland, and you can see why this Northwest town is so popular with the microbrewers! Delicious beer and great food is what to expect here... try the fish and chips for an old world style... of have the spinach and bleu cheese salad for more of a noveau feel! Leave a Comment

You can find this restaurant in Portland, McMinnville and Bend (on the way to Sunriver). They're nicely decorated, lot of colors and flowers, like in Mexico. Very neat. You'l be attended by bilingual Mexican people, all of them very friendly :o)
What I love from Mexican food is shrimps with cream and of course their famous dessert: "Flan de Leche" hmmm!!!!!. Leave a Comment Theme: MexicanPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: 1101 NE Highway 99 w.Phone: 503- 472 9771Directions: McMinnville, Oregon

This is a very nice and interesting place to have a coffee and enjoy a "do-it-yourself"....because here you can choose a blank ceramic piece and paint it by yourself while you get your coffee, tea or whatever you like. Contact Rochelle, she's the Manager.

Naturally I've heard of McDonalds and Burger King, but Dairy Queen was a new one for me. Not that I ever eat in McDonald's - I never go there. The only Burger King I've ever been in was in Spain, just for quickness. However... It was exceptionally hot during my visit to Portland, and it's been many years since I've enjoyed a milk shake. I was introduced to DQ by Phil, as it is his favourite (there's that F word again!) fast food restaurant. Occasionally some of the staff left one wondering how the place made a profit, but between the three of them, they did manage to produce nice shakes!
I have to admit that the milk shakes were first class! Real fruit, that you couldn't suck up through the straw, haha. Not like the wishy-washy stuff you get in England! And very reasonably priced too. Leave a Comment

This is a sports bar on the west coast. Sports start early out there due to the time difference and makes for a great start to the day.
I had the German Breakfast. Went well with baseball at about 11am. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherPrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: 2021 SW Morrison StPhone: 503 224 2115
