Coolidge McClaine Park
Located on the banks of Mill Creek, this park features a large number of tall trees that provide shade on hot days, and a very good environment away from city noise.
The park has a large covered picnic facility, a playground, scattered picnic tables, and a trail that runs along the creek for a brief distance to the southeast, and provides people with the atmosphere of a much more wild place.
This is the site of some of the events surrounding the "Homer Davenport Days" festival.
Location: 303 Coolidge St. Silverton, Oregon 97381
How to Get Here: Highways 213 and 214 intersect in the center of downtown Silverton. Go southwest on Main Street two blocks from this center of downtown. Go southeast on Coolidge Street three blocks, and you will come to the park entrance.
The web site below is for the city of Silverton, which owns this park. As the web site is currently arranged, it is necessary to get to the parks department by going to Departments -> Public Works -> Parks. If you scroll down the page it lists each of the city's five parks.
