On our first day in Sisters we spotted Bronco Billy's Ranch Grill & Saloon, and were attracted because it looked like something out of an old western movie. Sure enough, we learned that the building is the historic old Hotel Sisters. This place is worth seeing even if you don't eat here. The rustic decor makes it almost like walking into a museum. Upstairs, the old hotel rooms have been renovated into private dining rooms, each with its own theme. There is a deck for outside dining during good weather.
The food was equal to the ambiance. This is a place we would recommend for anyone who visits Sisters and central Oregon.
Favorite Dish: I had the Ranch Grill Burger, which has been voted "Oregon's Best Burger," with all the trimmings. It was great, topped with cheeze and served with their special onion rings with dipping sauce.
The Gallery Restaurant which was just a short walk from our motel on Cascade Avenue, is a family style restaurant which we found to be an excellent choice for a hearty breakfast in Sisters. Our table was a booth in front of a plate glass window that looked out onto the main street of town.
The Gallery has been a favorite dining spot for both locals and tourists for a generation or more. It is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Coyote Creek Cafe & Restaurant
Coyote Creek Café is a full service restaurant and lounge. Complete with a sattelite sports bar, offering live entertainment on weekends. Specials everyday and night. Locals say 'No question the best food in and fun in town'
Favorite Dish: My husband chose to have the grilled salmon with raspberry sauce, it was unusual but very tasty. The salmon has much more taste than in Belgium. I took the chicken, filled with spinach and cheese, which was delicious too.
Our hotel manager advised us to go and have dinner at Hotel Sisters. This was a hotel in the 19th century.
Favorite Dish: The menu was Tex-Mex which was very tasty and plentiful. Only one complaint, they forgot to bring our starter, which wasn't bad because we weren't able to finish our main course!
