    ~~~ Great to have a bath, swim and have fun! ~~~
    This is not only a swimming pool. It is a family amusement park on a large compound!
    The entrance fees differ regarding if you live in the district or not but is it affordable.
    I was very skeptical about having buffet food initially. But it is very close to the motel I was staying so I gave it a try. It is billed as "New York Style, American, Japanese, & Chinese buffet."
    The food is not as greasy as I feared. There is a good variety and the quality is very decent. I am pleasantly surprised.
    Favorite thing: Walk, bike or canoe along the Park area pathways of the McKensie River at Oregon State University. A good, half-day trip is to begin at Island Park in Springfield, walk West along the river paths to any of the bicycle bridges, cross over to see Eugene's compost and outdoors center, and Valley River Mall. Then, return to Island Park.
    Fondest memory: The view of green vegetation and open areas bounded by rivers and hillsides which lead to Mountains makes this a special place. Walks through Dorris Ranch, a working nut farm and public park area with lots of wooded and rustic trails, are healing to the spirit.
