Luggage and bags: Well depending on when you travel. I always bring a black turtleneck top for the cold evenings and a bathing suit for the hot tubs. A Black tankini is very helpful too.
Do not bring huge luggage on trains, especiallly the Eurorail, since you may have to lift them above the seats. Thank God for strong Italian men.

There is much to say about this Country, each of the 50 States is fiercely proud of their relevance and importance to the Union and while we are all under one flag, each State is like a little Country unto itself with self Government, a State Capitol Bldg, a Governor and Legislature, some of these States are larger and more prosperous than many European countries, each with unique characteristics and properties, each with their own laws.
But for the wisdom of that body of men who drafted the Constitution of the United States, we could have 50 different passports. Wow, more stamps on your pages!
Be prepared for a very long journey as you zip through the United States of America. We will start with the Original States of a newly formed Union.

Luggage and bags: The least amount of bags you have the least amount of chance for the air line to loose them.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: shorts, shorts, and more shorts. Bathing suits as many as you can and plenty of sun tan lotion.
