Okay, so my husband and I are driving around and I keep noticing these big statue-like frogs all over the place. At first I though "those must be some kind of theme restaurant or something like that" then I started to notice that they were painted all different colors and realized that they are one of those outside art projects that some cities have... like angels and cows... Erie has frogs. You can spend a WHOLE day + devoted to driving around and locating all the different frogs... seriously a WHOLE day. there are over 100 of them.

Work on restoring the 71 year old Warner Theatre is expected to be completed by October 2003.
Crews have been working to restore the lobby's ceiling and the auditorium as part of this first phase of a $13.5 million restoration project. Nearly 30 artist from around the nation are almost halfway to their goal of making the old Warner Theatre new again. At 811 State Street, this is the last original Warner Brothers theatre left in this country. It is especially precious because others have been remodeled or aren't being used as theatres anymore. Since it opened on April 10, 1931, it's been in constant use as a theatre, and that's special.
The Warner has been, and will continue to be, a landmark in Erie.

Erie, Pennsylvania takes great pride as the home of the U.S. Brig NIAGARA. This reconstruction of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry's flagship in the battle of Lake Erie was completed in the summer of 1990, and since then Niagara has embarked on an ambitious program of sailing and historic interpretation. As an ambassador of Erie and the State of Pennsylvania, Niagara has visited numerous ports on the Great Lakes and the Atlantic Seaboard giving thousands of visitors an opportunity to share in this unique piece of history. When in port, NIAGARA is open for guided tours and has an active daysailing program.
