Every October there is the Annual Grove City Fall Fest.
It is sort of combination craft show and yard sale with a farmers' market and school activites throw into the mix. There are local entertainment groups and a pet parade to add to the noise. Kids can have fun on a hay ride or painting a pumpkin. There are food booths for all to enjoy.
So if you are in the area in the first 10 days of October, (exact date changes each year) stop in to the Fall Festival and have some good old country fun.

Grove City is a pretty safe area to visit.
They average less than 1 murder or rape per year.
The only prevelant crime is theft (probably due to the number of shoplifting cases reported from the Outlet Center).
The area is rated in the top 10% of the safest places to visit.
Use common precautions as if you were at home and you should have a safe and happy time at Grove City, PA.

Take a few minutes to drive around the campus of Grove City College. They have done a nice landscaping job on the grounds and some of the architecture makes for an interesting photograph. If you are really lazy, you can stay in the car and shoot pics through the open window.
to get there:
I-79 to the Grove City exit, take route 208 (Center Street) east to Grove City.
connect to route 58 (Main Street) and go east a few blocks to the campus drive

Take $5 and warm up with a bucket of balls on the driving range and practice green.
Stop in the pro shop for some extra balls and some info about how the course plays.
Then pull out another $30 and take a round of 18 holes in a new cart.
This is a relatively short course ranging from 5000 yards to 5800 yards. For 50 years, it has been well maintained and has mature trees on the periphery of average width, bermuda grass fairways that lead up to bent grass greens. The greens play fast and are often mounded which makes them tricky.
Water is a hazard on two of the shorter holes and sandtraps proliferate the edges of the fairways with pot bunkers near several of the greens. Being accurate with shorter controlled shots is the key to getting a good score here. Overpowering the shot and ending in the long rough is a sure way to add several strokes to your tally.
