Jerry's Grocery - Formerly Rod's
Rod's Grocery had been in Lucinda for some 25 or 30 years before it was finally sold and renamed Jerry's. When we were kids, we walked to Rod's quite a bit to buy candy, firecrackers, and subs, while other bought deli meats and basic food supplies. In the 1990s, Rod's was expanded, nearly doubling in size, but is still just a tiny, overpriced market.
Jerry's now sells coffee in the mornings, and you will often see 5 or 10 cars parked here with members of the Shriveled Peckers Club in attendance.
Lander's General Store
Lander's has been in the middle of Lucinda for decades and is the traditional general store from years gone by. Old, worn hard wood floors, Radio Flyer wagons, hardware, and penny candy are just some of the items you will find at Landers.
Zacherl's Farm Market
I never thought I write many shopping tips for Lucinda, but here goes....
Zacherl's Farm Market is located right along State Route 66 between Lucinda and Snydersburg. During the short summer and fall harvesting season, this roadside stand is open daily selling fresh corn, tomatoes, flowers, pumpkins, and much more--fresh from the farm that surrounds the market building.
