Great food, Romantic atmosphere, seats are somewhat uncomfortable tho. But other than that its One of the best italian restaurants in town. Reminds me of a New York style Diner.

Favorite Dish: Stuffed Crab!! mmm delicious. Probally the only restaurant in town that you can get this dish.

    Applebees: A Family Restaurant

Applebees is a nice sit-down restaurant with a lot to choose from. The sides are quite large, and the meals include Mexican food, traditional American dishes, spicy foods, and Asian-inspired meals. Many of the dishes are unique and fun to try, but they also offer meals that are safe, for those who are not so outgoing and for children. They offer alcoholic beverages, as well as the normal pop/soda, water, and juice. I have always been too full for dessert, but there are quite a few options, if you are still hungry after your meal!

  • Artist's Cup Cafe: Artsy addition to downtown

by vertov Written Dec 17, 2003

Excellent coffee, excellent food. Most of the sandwiches come wrapped like a bouquet of flowers with a variety of regular potato chips and vegetarian "terra chips" pouring from the top of the bouquet.

I think they're only open for lunch. Worth stopping, even if you're driving through on I-79 and have to wend your way through "town" to get there.

Sit at the counter, or help yourself to a table. Stop for coffee, stop for food, it's all good...

Favorite Dish: It has been a little while since I've been here, but I've had a number of their sandwiches, and none have disappointed me.

  • The Pampered Palate: Delightful light lunches

Small, casual deli/coffeehouse type atmosphere in an old converted car repair shop. (Back when repair shops used to have two stalls and a couple of gas pumps outside.)

Within walking distance of Allegheny College, which makes it an ideal meeting place for students, faculty, staff and parents on visit days.

The restaurant is run by a bona fide chef, and you can tell as soon as you sink your teeth into one of his delectable creations.

Meadville needs more restaurants like this!

Favorite Dish: The Thanksgiving Club, just hearty enough to satisfy, but leaves you with a light feeling afterwards. I haven't seen anyone go wrong with anything else on the menu though. Go with the recommended bread and garnishes, or go out on your own and try something different!

A quaint establishment featuring a Big Tony approved beer selection. Good food at a decent value. The Brew city fries are superb! Unfortunately, the place recently came under new ownership. I've felt slighted on numerous occasions. In other words, the service has gone down the crapper. Recent example: we had a big group, sat down, and ordered our drinks. Some time later, they informed us that there would be an extremely long wait for food. So we elected to leave. However, they still charged us for our drinks. A classier place interested in keeping our business would have put them on the house. Thanks for nothin' guys.

Favorite Dish: Great 1/2 pound cheeseburgers, beer battered fries, and skin-on fries. 25cent wings on Tuesdays (maybe other days too).

    Cracker Barrel: Cracker Barrel

It's the same as every other Cracker Barrel. It has the fine over-priced general store and a 'rustic' feel. The real upside is you can play checkers or the golf tee mind game while you wait for your dinner.

Favorite Dish: I like just about everything here.

A dirt-cheap mom and pop fast food joint with all the conveniences of a national chain. Oh, and the food's a lot better. I recently had a Super Dog and a Large Fry for $3.36.

Favorite Dish: Delicious grilled hot dogs and fries
