A pleasant little park at the base of the dam that creates Woodcock Lake.
There's pleanty of free parking on both sides of Woodcock Lake Creek.
The Creek is stocked with Trout each year and I have caught Bluegill and Perch while fly fishing there.

Every summer, usually sometime in June, Meadville hosts a spectacular hot air balloon show. Visitors sit out on a hill to watch all of the hot air balloons fill up and take off. There are food vendors, for those who get hungry. This event is always makes for a fun evening, and it's definitely something that most people don't get a chance to see often.

It´s right beside the main road and actually not a very beautiful place.... but so creative! Art students have formed a display wall on a fence beside the road and formed flowers, houses, cars, people, etc. out of old road signs which would have otherwise been thrown in the trash! I think this is so amazing and everytime I visit Meadville I take time to check if any new part has been added. I really have no idea how long this wall is by now but I promise to measure it next time I go there!

If you are into Halloween you must visit this place close to Meadville.
Every fall they create a corn maze, set up a corn house and many other Halloween related fun things... I love going there to pick out a pumpkin..... if you cant find one there you like, it does not exist!
The whole place is for free except if you want to walk through the maze you have to pay an entrance fee..... forgot how much.... sorry
