Philly is a great city to take a stroll. Old City, Rittenhouse Square, South Street, Society Hill, Washington Square and many other areas are full of interesting shops and sights and you'll find locals strolling around all over the place.
Here's a picture of my nephew and my sister in front of Philadelphia Java Company just off of South Street. This is a great are for a stroll and this coffee shop is really great, especially if you have a kid like my nephew. They have an area in the back with a couch and they're really kid-friendly. My nephew was having a great time rummaging through a big box of toys that they keep here while we enjoyed our lattes.

Take a walk down South Street. Yep, that's right the street made famous in a song telling you where all the hippies meet. This street is the most colorful, noisy and active area of the whole city. The street (between Front and 8th street) is lined with restaurants, bars and unusual shops. Leave a Comment

South Street, below 8th. I hung out here as a kid and it has changed (there's a McDonald's and a Starbucks) but the majority of shops are still on the edge of Boehmia. It is a great strip to shop on. And the people are great eye candy!
Tastykake! You've got to have one tom understand. Philly is a city of FOOD! Big portions and flavorful. If you're on a diet don't bother coming!

Well since im from South Philly, ofcourse i'm gonna tell you to go there!
**ATTN** If you never have been to South Philly, it is mandatory you visit on New Years Day, the Mummers Parade is great. Tip(if your into partyin don't watch it in the convention center, get your ass down to 2nd st!!)
