one beautiful city: Philadelphia

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Comfortable walking shoes. It's best to explore this great old town on foot.

Photo Equipment: Wide angle is great for shots of buildings but a zoom is fun for sneaky people shots.

Miscellaneous: Thanks to D for getting me to explore my old home town more closely.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: I was surprised to find that it was 87 degrees! I thought for sure it would be cold! I packed winter coats, long sleeves and pants! Big Mistake! Pack dresses and shorts, T-shirts, and flip flops

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: SunScreen

Luggage and bags: Leave your bags in the hotel room, keep your camera & hit the streets running! So many things to do, to see, to eat that you don't want to get burdened down by dragging a big bag around.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Comfortable shoes & clothes are a must, there are way to many museams to walk thru not to be comfortable.

Photo Equipment: Philly has murals all over the city, making the city one big photo opp. Parks, museams, statues & the people themselves are all waiting for you to take a picure. Bring those cameras, come on!

Miscellaneous: Philly gets hot in the summer & cold in the winter....dress accordingly.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Remember that in Philly, it gets really warm (30+ degrees celcius) in the summer and really cold (in the negatives) in the winter. This means that air condioning and heat is not just on, its at full blast, so remember to dress/pack layers!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Philly has 4 seasons, check the weather before packing your bag, it could be anything to winter coat, scarf and hat, to shorts and a t-shirt.
Definately bring good walking shoes no matter what the weather!

Photo Equipment: It's a beautiful little city, don't forget your camera. I didn't bring my SLR on this trip, I didn't really need it, though I did borrow Lou's a couple of times. I have a Canon Pro1, it was sufficiant.

Miscellaneous: A map or a guidebook would have been handy. I wouldn't have thought I needed one, but it just goes to show, whether near or far from home, they are good to have.

Miscellaneous: Weather is usually cold in winter. Temperature is about 30 to 50 degree Farenheit and also windy during winter time. Summer time is very hot and temperature is running in between 90 and above Farenheit.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: As there is so much to see in Philadelphia bring a good pair of walking shoes (nothing is really too far to walk but you might end up doing a lot of it)

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Unless you need something special dont bother as there is a drug store on almost every other city block once you get downtown

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: The New Jersey coast is only an hours drive away so its worth a trip. Alantic City is also only an Hour away

Luggage and bags: You might want to pack something for indigestion! Philly's gastronomic delights may have consequences for those with weak stomachs!
By the way, you gotta try a soft pretzel!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: MUST BRING COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES. Philly is a walking town (at least downtown) - in fact there is a walking tour guide available from the tourist kiosk on the BF Parkway (reccommended).
