Cosi...: Comfortably cheery chain coffee cafe
Soups, sandwiches, wraps, pastries, teas and coffees - reliable quality, easy in easy out, wireless access. . . Scattered locations through the central city, I found this location very convenient, located about half way between the hotel where I was staying (the Hyatt Penns Landing) and the facilities for the conference that had brought me to Philadelphia, headquarted at the Loewes and Marriott hotels.
Cosi: The more things change . . .
. . . the more they stay the same. Cosi used to be known as Xando. It's a chain of coffeehouses that's just a little more than a place for an cup of joe. In fact, they have pretty good sandwiches and other light lunch items as well as great desserts. At night, the coffee tends to come with a kick. You can get Irish coffee, or whisky in your coffee, or even just a beer.
Favorite Dish: Although, I prefer a mom and pop type of a place, this place does put out a quality product and you'll definitely meet plenty of locals at all hours of the day hanging out here.
Try the Signature Salad . . . walnuts, gorgonzola, cranberries . . . yum.
Cute chain of coffehouses that also serves sandwiches.
Favorite Dish: S'mores! You can order an individual s'more set up for 2 or 4 people in which you get a sterno cooker surrounded by a bowl full of marshmellows, graham crackers and Hershey's chocolate.
So good. *mouth waters*
