Nice atomosphere. Open ktichen. Bar is quiet and cozy. Decent wine selection. Outdoor seating available during the warmer months. Private dining area available for large groups.
Favorite Dish: Mussels and Gnocchi are delicious! Mussels are in a white wine sauce but they toss in a few tomatoes to make it different and even tastier!
Gnocchi is homemade and in a gorgonzola sauce.
We visited this restaurant last August in the middle of a rain storm on a Saturday night. We had no reservation and their was no problem getting a table.
Favorite Dish: The restaurant specializes in both Northern and Southern dishes. Great big pasta dishes. Menu items vary from old school classics such as veal Parmigiana and shrimp fra diavolo to neo-sophisticates such as silky escargot in a thick, tasty tomato broth. Don’t miss Chef Roberto Medina’s renowned grilled calamari. For dessert try the cheesecake, spumoni, tartufo or lemon profiteroles.
I like this place a lot. The owners are really friendly and because my sister and her husband are regulars, I always get really good service. There is a lounge/bar on one end and a larger dining area on the other. The walls are brick and the interior is simple; not exactly upscale, but very nice. It's the type of place that could work for a business dinner, a romantic date or a casual dinner with friends.
