The Wachovia Center was formerly known as the CoreStates Center and the First Union Center. The arena was built in 1996 and is home to the NHL's Flyers and the NBA's 76ers. The Wachovia Center is located right alongside I-95 several miles south of the city and near the airport, alongside Lincoln Financial Field, Citizens Bank Park. The arena has seats for about 20,000 for hockey, and it holds the record as the venue hosting the largest hockey crowd in Pennsylvania state history during the 1997 Stanley Cup Finals.
