Will display the liberty bell with a backdrop framing independence hall. Last spring some idiot took a hammer to the liberty bell and the pavilion had to be closed off while it was restored. What is the liberty bell? It is famous for a crack and was rung after the United States declared independence from Britain in 1776.

Familiar from the reverse side of the US half-dollar and the old Phillies logo, the Liberty Bell still sits calmly in Philly. You too can visit and comment on the large crack that runs down the side. There's a story about that, but I can't remember what it is.

Cape May is the best kept secret on the Jersey Shore, and a short drive from Philly. Beautiful beaches, lovely Bed and Breatkfast that are preserved historic homes. Victorian look, great, great restuarants, and a bird sanctuary, and ferry ride over to Dover, Mayland...

    Liberty bell

One of the symbols of American freedom. There is a lot of security surrouunding it. I wish for the days when the bell didn't need the guards.

You have to see the liberty bell during your stay.
It's an active piece of our history, and it's neat. It's really old too!
