Touted as being the "Original Fish Market" which serves some of the best seafood in the city of Pittsburgh, this restaurant is a popular choice for the downtown business district. Located in the Westin Hotel just across from the Lawrence Convention Center, it draws hotel guests, businessmen, attendees of the convention center's attractions and more.
The restaurant, just off to the side of the lobby, the decor reminds me of a San Francisco fish house, and is quite casual. Plenty of tables and booths make for comfortable seating. The restaurant has a sushi bar, drink bar and a fairly extensive wine list for by the glass and even more for by the bottle.
An interesting menu shows a wide selection of appetizers, salads, entrees which are heavy on the seafood as you would expect, but also with selections for the non-seafood lover among you. The seafood dishes, however, are innovative and different such as the balsamic, chili-glazed popcorn shrimp and the crispy crab Rangoon wontons for appetizers and cracked pepper seared Swordfish loin. Sometimes much too exotic for my tastes!
Open for lunch and dinner on weekday; dinner only on weekends.
Monday - Friday 11:00 AM - 1:00 AM; Saturday - Sunday 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM
Be prepared to spend serious bucks here.
Favorite Dish:
My all-time favorite has to be the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and steamed Alaskan Crab Legs!
Some of the best sushi and seafood--or so I'm told. Never had sushi before and wasn't really looking to have it, but my friend strongly recommended it and I loved it. This place is very stlyish, laid back and just plain fun.
Favorite Dish:
sushi!!
