The owner has restuarants in New York and Kansas City. The wait staff is well coached. Do not let the room overwhelm you with slate dividers and glass chandeliers that resemble grape bunches. Lidia would feel insulted if you did not drink wine. She's very Italian. Try the lemon chicken. Excellent! And try the house salad. All the soups are first rate. And the deserts are lite. I might call her food heallthy Italian-just stay away from the unlimited pasta special.
Favorite Dish:
The lemon chicken was tender and supple. While itis popular everyone, it is cooked flawlessly here.
Both times that we visited the Heinz History Center, we walked up the street to Lidia's for a great lunch.
Favorite Dish:
Grilled cheese & mushroom - no bread - it is kinda like the cheese that spills over from the bread and melts on the grill. Good house red wine!
