These are the crime stats for Selinsgrove: (annual averages)
14 sex related offenses, 130 assaults, 350 thefts, 25 drug related, no murders.
The most prevelant crimes are property crimes which do not affect tourists.
14 sex offenders are registered for the Selinsgrove borough.
(to determine if this may affect your vacation plans, see the website below.)

The best way to be safe is to prevent the crime from happening. Lock doors; keep valuables in the motel safe; do not go to unfamiliar places alone or late at night. Know where the kids are and what they are doing. Act like you belong there and not like a tourist.

Selinsgrove Sports & Outdoors

Champs Fitness Center is one of my favorite places in all of Selinsgrove. If you are staying in Selinsgrove for long, you can sign up for a membership at the gym where you can work out, or you can use a fist-day-free-trial. Also, a fun 18-hole mini-golf is outside. However, my favorite part of Champs Fitness Center, is that it now holds Bounce Fun Plex. BFP is a collection of trampolines, complete with a dodgeball court (which hosts the matches for the league), and a foam pit. It's hard to picture, but it's truely amazing and a ton of fun. There is a consession stand, and refreshments are always available. For more information, go to www.bouncefunplex.com

Equipment: You don't need to bring anything in particular to jump. It costs $8.00 per hour.

As the name says, this is a par 3 course and should only be played if you are really desperate and can't find a real golf course.

Actually, it was kind of fun because the holes were easy. But it is not meant for anyone who takes their golf at all seriously. I think the whole course was nine holes at about 1000 yards total. $15 is the cost (plus $5 per club if you need to rent any). Don't bother with a cart because the whole course only takes like a little over an hour.

For the same money, you could just go down the street (route 15) and get a couple bucket of balls at the driving range and have about the same fun.
