Renninger's Extravaganza in Kutztown: Extravaganza!

by kazander

Every weekend Renniger's has a flea market filled with antiques and crafts, ect... But 3 times a year, it holds it's famous EXTRAVAGANZA! it is a huge event with hundreds of vendors and thousands of guests and of course some amazing finds and great deals!Dates for this years(2004) Extravaganza are:April 22-24 June 24-26 Sept. 23-25There is an entrance fee that is highest the 1st day of the extravaganza and lowest on the last day. Die hard antiquers might want to get here early though to have the most to choose from. The website gives discount coupons. There are so many items here, from antique funtiture to jewlery to homemade crafts. There is also a market with fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers. there is something for every budget

The Crossings: Super Deals at the Outlets

by kazander

There is a giant outlet mall just over the border from New Jersey off of Route 80. There have really great deals! Some of the stores include, Gap , Coach, DKNY, Coleman, Liz Claiborne, J Crew, Perry Ellis , Samsonite, ect.. For the full list check the website link given. My favorite stores are Coleman, and any of the Kitchen Supply stores. less than avarage, I got a pair of jeans for $7! And they actually fit really well!

They also have photo developing which I have used in the past. They are usually conveniently located as this one was - a short walking distance from our hotel.Store hours Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday 8 s.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Check out their weekly flyer for great specials.

Pocono Bazaar: Big Flea Market

by kazander

The Pocono Bazaar is a year round flea market that is open every weekend from 9-5. There is both an inside area, this is where most of the antiques are located, and a large(in season) outdoor area, more of the flea market feel. It's located on Rt. 209 not far off of interstate 80 (exit 309). They have the usual goodies as most flea markets do, cheap clothes, books, those boxes and boxes of $1 items, jewlery, tin signs, antiques, ect.. There are also some food products, fresh produce, apple butters and a soup and dip place that had free samples! MMM I got the creamy potato soup and the "house special" dip!. I liked the guy selling the tin signs. He had a good set up and a huge collection, and he was very helpful, he even had some creative ideas for hanging the signs. less than or about avarage

any good bar or restaurant: The oldest beer in Pennsylvania

by tompt

The oldest beer in Pennsylvania is called Yuengling. It is brewed since 1829. Taste is good, but what else to expect when it is a hit for this long time .
