We came here Christmas day 2005. We had driven from Bethlehem PA after spending Christmas eve with my family and decided to spend the evening in Newport and see some of the mansions during the Christmas season.
We were starving and after viewing some of the mansions decided we really needed some grub. The only restaurant open on Christmas Day was Sardella's, which was recommended by the front desk of our hotel.
We loved the ambiance and the wonderful food this restaurant offered. We enjoyed our Christmad dinner very much.
Favorite Dish: We started with the Mozzarella in Carrozza a fried double tiered mozzarella served with Sardellas marinara sauce, follwed with the house salad and the main course. I had the
Ravioli alla Panna e Prosciutto a ricotta filled ravioli, cream, butter, fresh basil, pecorino cheese, prosciutto, my guy had the Scampi Smaglianti, shrimp sautéed in butter, garlic, white wine and clam broth. The dishes were to die for.
